Staging a Closet Can Sell Your Home Fast

Unable to find what your looking for, items continually falling to the floor, or worse yet, not being able to shut the door are all reasons why you might want to consider organizing your home closets. I recently took the weekend and went through every closet in my house, no I’m not selling, but if I feel this great purging the old to make way for what the new year has in store, imagine how buyers can envision your newly found closet space. It’s no secret if you’re selling your home buyers will open up cabinets and closet doors, it’s not because they’re nosey, these buyers want to know how much storage and closet space is available in your home. So if you’re looking to wow-buyers, especially first-time home buyers; it may all come down to your closet space since it’s square footage that’s topping buyers “must-have” lists when purchasing […]

Using Command Products to Hang Wall Art

In this video I wanted to share with you a product I always use in my home stagings to hang wall art. You can find it in most hardware or big box stores and it not only saves time, but it can save your walls from a bunch of holes. The product is command picture hanging strips. This is one of the simplest ways to decorate your walls that’s quick and easy. And the best part you don’t have to worry about nail holes, cracked plaster or any sticky residue. So this product comes in different sizes, small strips hold most 8″ x 10″ frames, medium strips hold most 18″ x 24″ frames and large strips hold most 24″ x 36″ frames. The varying sizes can hold up to 4 pounds. Make sure to take these weight restrictions seriously and use the proper size so your wall art doesn’t fall […]

That’s why I’ve made this Home Staging Winter Container Ideas video, to get those creative juices flowing and make sure buyers (or just neighbors if you’re staying put) stop by and go gaga over your winter containers well into Spring. Over the weekend I swapped out Tom the Turkey and my pumpkins for Winter and Christmas Decor. Winter can be a tough time to showcase your home’s landscaping. This season makes your flower beds and trees look lifeless, so why not create some life by utilizing your flower pots and adding these winter container ideas to your front yard. I do this every year to […]

Home Stager Says Thanks with Charitable Kids

Home stager say thanks: This is not the usual format of our videos, however, while attending a Real Estate Staging Association’s Charity Gala in Canada for Alzheimer’s I was given the opportunity to create short videos of each guest, who discussed their personal thoughts and feelings on some very tough questions relating to Alzheimer’s. These videos will ultimately help raise awareness about the disease that still has no cure. During my visit to Canada, I had the opportunity to stay with Gala Organizer, colleague & friend, Lisa McIntee and her family. The McIntee Family is always giving back to the community. So in the spirit of Thanksgiving, I wanted to share what I’m thankful for…now while this is video is really silly, the topic is no laughing matter and it’s always important to show your thanks and give back and I hope this inspires you to take a moment and […]
