Need to Stage a Home? Why I believe in YOU

I believe that we all have a style that each and everyone of us can embrace inspiration from our senses, knowledge and desires we’ve experienced in life to stage a home. I’ve realized that our struggles, challenges and triumphs actually affects the lifestyle we lead and how our homes are showcased. When I became a home stager back in 2009, I knew I could decorate, tell stories through images and create warm, inviting spaces but, my story defined me as I walked down the stairs to my living room and found 10 years of my life destroyed and waterlogged throughout the entire first floor of my home that surreal October morning in 2012. Superstorm Sandy uprooted our life, our lifestyle for nearly six months. I knew I wanted to stay though…. build better, stronger and smarter. But where do you start when your life has been turned upside down in a […]

Staging a Closet Can Sell Your Home Fast

Unable to find what your looking for, items continually falling to the floor, or worse yet, not being able to shut the door are all reasons why you might want to consider organizing your home closets. I recently took the weekend and went through every closet in my house, no I’m not selling, but if I feel this great purging the old to make way for what the new year has in store, imagine how buyers can envision your newly found closet space. It’s no secret if you’re selling your home buyers will open up cabinets and closet doors, it’s not because they’re nosey, these buyers want to know how much storage and closet space is available in your home. So if you’re looking to wow-buyers, especially first-time home buyers; it may all come down to your closet space since it’s square footage that’s topping buyers “must-have” lists when purchasing […]

Using Command Products to Hang Wall Art

In this video I wanted to share with you a product I always use in my home stagings to hang wall art. You can find it in most hardware or big box stores and it not only saves time, but it can save your walls from a bunch of holes. The product is command picture hanging strips. This is one of the simplest ways to decorate your walls that’s quick and easy. And the best part you don’t have to worry about nail holes, cracked plaster or any sticky residue. So this product comes in different sizes, small strips hold most 8″ x 10″ frames, medium strips hold most 18″ x 24″ frames and large strips hold most 24″ x 36″ frames. The varying sizes can hold up to 4 pounds. Make sure to take these weight restrictions seriously and use the proper size so your wall art doesn’t fall […]
