We all know first impressions matter and this is especially true when it comes time to sell your home.  What’s your home’s curb appeal saying about the property?
Adding curb appeal gives your house that nice and finished look that you can take pride in, not to mention it shows buyers that you’ve maintained the property. Here are five easy curb appeal tips you can complete in a weekend for less than $100 per project, so take a look at your home’s exterior in the curb to see what projects you can benefit from.

Wash Exterior

Need to take years of the look of your house’s exterior? Try pressure washing sidewalks, driveways, facades, fences even roofing to remove pollen, dirt, grim and more. Don’t have a power washer consider renting one from your local hardware store.

Make It Grow

Is your front yard looking plain, boring or lacking personality? Plan on adding a hint of Mother Nature by using a tree, shrubs or some flowers. Before planting consider how big the species will grow — you can try planting two trees from frame the entryway or fill window boxes (maybe flower pots) with colorful flowers to instantly add personality and welcome anyone coming to the front door.

Pop of Color

Speaking of front doors, we just repainted ours — and I love it! Check out the transformation in the video below. Choose a color that will stand out on your block, the architectural and design style of the house, plus the color should fit in with your neighborhood surroundings. For instance, our new color reminds me of the beach which we’re just steps away from.

Mailbox Upgrade

A mailbox is usually the first place to welcome buyers or guests onto your property, especially if it’s stationed out by the road. You can find a new mailbox starting around $20. If mounting a mailbox on your house make sure that it matches the material of the other hardware you have around the entry like your lighting, door knobs and house numbers. It’s also a good idea to check your city’s regulations before installing a new mailbox. Besides replacing the mailbox, you could just grab a can of spray paint to update your current one.

Number It

Another easy update is repainting or replacing your house numbers. There are so many more options out there to find the right style for your home. Check out the video below to see how to choose and where to place your house numbers — they should be easy to see, as well as appealing to look at.
