\nThere are many shades of green to choose from light to dark, yellowish green to blue greens to even gray greens. Regardless, of the shade you choose the color is uplifting and puts most people in a positive mood basically because when we think green we think of nature.
\nTwo greens are taking center stage this year in the home decor world– guilford green and olive green.
\nGuilford green was announced as the color of year by Benjamin Moore. The paint company is calling guilford green, “a neutral color that is a natural. It’s a silvery green that works with all types of color combinations.”

\nNow green doesn’t have to go on your walls to make a statement, in fact if you’re staging a home I wouldnt recommend using any shade of green on your walls, but you can certainly use this color as an accent in any room. The color could be in an accent pillow, piece of furniture or in a painting.

\nOlive green is more of a darker yellowish color. It can be warm and inviting, elegant and earthy. This color can be used as a neutral, so the color combinations are endless. Olive green mixes nicely with warm metals, just look at the photo above, and it makes your space feel more organic. Want to use this color in an updated way? Use olive green with black and white.
