Maybe it has to do with the color blue you have in your home.\u00a0Let me explain. Color is powerful and can sway your mood depending on it\u2019s warm or cool hues. Reds, yellows, oranges and beige or creamy colors are WARM while Blues, greens and grays are COOL. Remember the color wheel from elementary school?<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2068 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/toritoth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/warm-cool-color-wheel-300x280.jpg\" alt=\"color guide\" width=\"300\" height=\"280\" \/><br \/>\nBut color can be tricky because some cool colors can actually feel warmer and that\u2019s why this week I\u2019m answering C Schaan\u2019s question from Youtube who asks how do you pick a warm blue?<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2069\" src=\"http:\/\/toritoth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/warm-color-question-300x571.png\" alt=\"warm color question\" width=\"300\" height=\"57\" \/>Well, C Schaan every color has varying values some will appear brighter and others darker. Lighter colors have white more white in them and you guessed it the darker colors have more black in them. Usually the warmer blues are lighter and will have more yellow or green undertones in them. If you want to use a warmer blue in your home stick with colors between 5,000 and 8,000 on this color temperature scale.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2079 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/toritoth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/color-temperature-scale-300x298.png\" alt=\"color guide\" width=\"300\" height=\"298\" \/><br \/>\nBlue typically makes one feel \u2014 refreshed, tranquil, serene \u2014 which is perfect for bedrooms, living rooms, offices or nurseries.<br \/>\nStay with warmer blues so the space doesn\u2019t feel so depressing.<br \/>\nTurquoise has remained a popular trend color for several years now. It&#8217;s a warm, ocean blue heavily influenced by green. Lighter tones of turquoise are perfect for the bedroom. They are not only serene, but relaxing.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2074 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/toritoth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/turquoise-300x202.gif\" alt=\"color guide\" width=\"300\" height=\"202\" \/><br \/>\nSoft sky blues or light blues also feel very warm. This is a very Zen-like color that will not overwhelm your space, and it will make your white trim and furnishings look even more brilliant.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2072 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/toritoth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/sky-blue-300x108.png\" alt=\"color guide\" width=\"300\" height=\"108\" \/><br \/>\nJust remember if you\u2019re using a color on the wall add more neutral furniture or accessories so the space doesn\u2019t feel overwhelming, especially if you\u2019re staging your home.
