If you’re trying to move before the end of the year, now is the best time to grab an offer. There is no exact science to the age old question: when is the best time to buy or sell a home? But, in a recent Realtor.com article their proclaiming September 2015 looks to be the perfect storm to purchase the American dream.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Realtor.com’s\u00a0article, “Is This September the Perfect Month to Buy a Home?”<\/a>\u00a0there are three specific reasons to their findings: supply, demand and low mortgage rates.<\/span><\/h1>\n

More homes on the market<\/h3>\n

Normally inventory\u00a0peaks in August, however this year inventory has been growing all spring and summer, so “there will be more choices in September than any other month in 2015” explains Realtor.com\u00a0giving buyers the opportunity to find the home that they need.\u00a0Apparently, buyers have been “holding back” on making a\u00a0purchase because they haven’t found their perfect home since new and existing homes have been scarce all year. Less competition among buyers<\/h3>\n

While supply goes up, demand is on the decline, there will be less competition among buyers and with less buyers out looking at homes price will also drop. The four seasons play a major role in the home market, people usually want to move when it’s convenient for their kids school year or when it’s nice out. Who wants to move their belongings during the winter with bad weather? It’s reasoning like this that have buyers usually waiting out the market. The article suggests, “signing a contract in September will likely mean you could close before Thanksgiving,” avoiding the threat of major snow fall.<\/span><\/p>\n

Appealing mortgage rates<\/h3>\n

Lower mortgage rates are also making buying this September more appealing.\u00a0Thirty-year fixed rate has been hovering around 4% the lowest since June, however that rate isn’t expected to last by year’s end.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Why pay more later when you can pay less today?<\/span>\u00a0Realtor.com’s article explains, “signing a contract to buy a home soon would\u00a0enable buyers to lock in today\u2019s\u00a0lower rates before they start their long-awaited ascent.”<\/span><\/h2>\n
