To-Do List: Organizing the Shed

It’s time to refresh your home for the new year, are you ready to start organizing? Every year I tour my home after the holidays and make a list of all the projects (big or small) I’d like to focus on to improve our quality of living. These projects will then be tackled throughout the year (sometimes it’s longer) and I decide where to start based on the location of the project, if it will improve a main living area in the home or based on the size of the project and how it will create a “domino effect” by helping me get other areas organized as a result of completing that one project. On the to-do list is organizing our new shed we recently bought from Stoltzfus Structures. This Pennyslvania based Amish company pre-fabricated the shed then brought it to our home to assemble. The 10 x 20 shed came […]

Dirty laundry piled high, dishes in the sink, dust bunnies the size of tumbleweeds rolling across the floor, surfaces that have never seen a cleaning cloth and clutter build-up in every room can be a deal breaker for buyers or guests alike. At that point anyone visiting the home will have a hard time seeing past a homeowners unforgiving hygiene practices, this is especially true when trying to sell a home. In a perfect world sellers wouldn’t need to be living in their homes while on the market, however, the list of reasons why someone sells are endless and in many cases forces the homeowner to stay put when selling. The experience can be grueling for sellers […]
