Time-Saving Cleaning Products to Deep Clean Your Home

by | Apr 5, 2018 | Home, Home Staging, Lifestyle, Staging

Are you ready for the annual deep clean on your property this spring? It’s time to spring clean your space, and while this takes effort, time and more than a weekend to conquer these tasks –the reward of a clean home will be worth the work.

Set aside some time in your schedule this month to tackle spring cleaning tasks, from clearing away dust bunnies to power washing the deck. But, before you start checking items off your to-do list here are a few products that will save you time while deep cleaning:

It’s Magic for Surfaces

Mr. Clean Magic Erasers are a time-saver for scrubbing away scuffs, fingerprints, and other marks difficult to remove. Before using this product though, test out a small, inconspicuous spot on the wall to make sure it won’t damage your paint. If the test spot looks good once dry, scrub away. If the magic eraser won’t work on your painted walls try using   dip a sponge into warm water mixed with a mild dish soap to remove the marks.

Give Your Home a Good Steam

Steamers are an amazing tool to deodorize and clean surfaces from tile to fabrics to hardwood. This powerful tools uses hot water eliminating the need to use other cleaning chemicals.

Caddy Buddy

In order to save time while cleaning, corral all your cleaning products in a convenient caddy that fits neatly under your sink. Have a caddy for each level in your home to avoid product overwhelm and lugging unneeded products up and down the stairs.

Step Up

Rather than ignore those hard to reach places inside your home, have a lightweight step ladder on hand to wipe down cob webs, ceiling fixtures and that pesky top shelf.

Swift It

I love Swiffer products for quick and easy clean up! The Swiffer Duster collects dust (or pet hair in my case) off surfaces, I use it before sanitizing or polishing surfaces in my office, living room and bedroom. I even use the duster on walls and ceilings. The Swiffer Wet Jet quickly mops up floor surfaces, but the best part the product uses a disposable pad to keep germs and bacteria at bay.

Microfiber Cloths

Microfiber cloths are a multi-purpose tool that can be used wet or dry to clean off surfaces around your home. Microfiber lifts and holds dirt, grease, grime, liquids and bacteria. These fibers include both positive-charged polyester fibers and negative-charged nylon fibers that actually attract and pull up whatever is on the surface you’re cleaning.

My Dyson

Another product I absolutely love is my Dyson Animal with so many furry friends in the house this upright vacuum seals in suction across all floors to pick up microscopic dust and allergens with the use of bags or filters that can get messy. I have the upright vacuum for big jobs and the Dyson Cord Free Vacuum for smaller jobs, like keeping the area around the litter box clean.
