In this video I wanted to share with you a product I always use in my home stagings to hang wall art. You can find it in most hardware or big box stores and it not only saves time, but it can save your walls from a bunch of holes.
The product is command picture hanging strips. This is one of the simplest ways to decorate your walls that’s quick and easy. And the best part you don’t have to worry about nail holes, cracked plaster or any sticky residue.
So this product comes in different sizes, small strips hold most 8″ x 10″ frames, medium strips hold most 18″ x 24″ frames and large strips hold most 24″ x 36″ frames. The varying sizes can hold up to 4 pounds. Make sure to take these weight restrictions seriously and use the proper size so your wall art doesn’t fall and get damaged.
Step # 1: Separate the Strips
First separate the strips and attach the fastners together until your hear them snap. Then remove one of the liners and place the strip on your frame sticky side down.
Step # 2: Attach to Wall Art
Apply the strip to the other side of the frame, as well. Check the box to determine how many strips are needed for your wall art. Then remove the other liner and place on the wall pushing securely.
Then remove the first layer of the strip and add pressure to the strips on the wall, it’s recommended to leave alone for one hour before attaching the frame to the wall strip.
Step # 3: Easy Removal
This product is amazing for staging because it provides a temporary solution to the naked wall and when you’re ready to remove, just detach the frame then pull the foam tab to release the strip….and your wall is still in perfect condition.
The command picture hanging strips is just one of several damage free hanging products this company has and it’s great for decorating, especially for a photo gallery wall or like I did here with these light weight mirrors. So make sure to try the strips or if your project requires their hooks and clips too.
